Project Designers:

Project Date:

RMI’s headquarters uses a variety of passive features and integrated design elements to cut space heating by 99%, cut electricity use by 90%, and consume half as much water as a similar building. It’s passive design elements are so effective that banana trees flourish in the atrium – thus the nickname Banana Farm. This case study explains how 10xE Design Principles were used to create this incredible structure.
